Join Tyler D Funk for a day in search of Prairie Falcons and other raptors in Coles County, Illinois. The trip will begin at 7am from the Best Western parking lot in Arcola, Illinois. We will check the roosting spot for the Prairie Falcons first and then proceed to Universal Mines on the eastern edge of Illinois. Universal Mines is typically an excellent spot to find migrant waterfowl, raptors and (on the Indiana side of the state line) Northern Shrike. We will then return to Coles County to watch the Prairie Falcons returning their roost.
